A Brief Radar Check at 5:00 pm

| June 12, 2021 @ 5:00 pm

Most of the shower and thunderstorm activity at this time is now located over the western half of North/Central Alabama, but the good news is that all warnings have been expired or canceled. Storms will continue to pack a punch for the rest of the afternoon and through the evening hours with gusty winds and small hail. Any storms that pulse up to severe criteria will have the potential of producing damaging winds up to 60 mph and quarter size hail.

The potential for stronger to severe storms will continue through 9 pm tonight. Storms will also be big rain producers as precipitable water values continue to be around 2 inches, so a few flash flooding issues may be possible.
