Tornado Warning for Parts of Lowndes and Dallas Counties Until 1015 am

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
Western Lowndes County in south central Alabama…
Southeastern Dallas County in south central Alabama…

* Until 1015 AM CDT.

* At 923 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 8 miles southwest of Gordonville, or 11 miles southwest
of Mosses, moving north at 45 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado.

SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include…
White Hall, Benton, Gardner Island, Tyler, Collirene, Farmersville
and Fostoria.
