Alabama Newscenter — It’s Fiesta Ball Week in Can’t Miss Alabama

Birmingham’s Legion Field 150th Summer Celebration
The city of Birmingham is turning 150 years old this year and will commemorate the milestone Friday, July 16 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Legion Field. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a live performance by Logan the Entertainer. Festivities include a visit from the Birmingham Zoo, Vulcan Park and Museum’s mascot and the Birmingham Public Library among vendors, food trucks and more. Admission is free.

Fiesta Ball Week
The Young Supporters Board (YSB) for UAB’s O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center will host Fiesta Ball Week to raise critical funds for Young Investigator Grants. This year, YSB will partner with Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants throughout the Birmingham area. Participating restaurants are Taco Mama, Little Donkey, La Paz, Craft’s on Church Street, El ZunZun and Sol Y Luna.
