Flood Warning for Parts of Lauderdale Co. Until 11:00 pm

The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
Western Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 1100 PM CDT.

* At 759 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding occurring
in the warned area due heavy runoff from heavy rainfall. Flooding
is already occurring. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Florence, Muscle Shoals, Underwood-Petersville, Oakland, Threet
and Wright.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
