Alabama Update at 3:25 P.M.: Heaviest Rain over the Tennessee Valley

| September 19, 2021 @ 3:22 pm

At 3:20 p.m., rain covered a good bit of the northern two thirds of Alabama.

The heaviest rain was over the Tennessee Valley of North Alabama. Heavy rain was falling over northern Winston County, and near Priceville in Morgan County, as well as north of the City of Huntsville. A flash flood warnings is in effect until 4 p.m. for parts of Madison, Morgan, and Marshall Counties.

In the Birmingham Metro area, patches of light rain have been moving through for the past couple of hours. Rainfall amounts have been generally light so far across Central Alabama. I have only picked up 0.35 inches so far today. Yesterday, I had over two inches.

All of the rain is moving to the north northeast.
