Big West Coast Storm–a Big One

Big problems abound on the west coast. These notes cover the period from yesterday afternoon until almost 8 am PDT this morning.

* A wind gust to 135 mph over the Sierra Crest NW of Tahoe City. Yes, that is 135 mph

* Wind gust to 71 mph at Reno Airport early this morning

* 9.74 inches of rain last 24 hours Santa Barbara County Mountains

* 10.04 inches of rain in the Ventura County Mountains

* 1.60 inches at Los Angeles Airport, heavy rain continues

* 2.92 Inches Sacramento Airport

* 2.55 inches San Francisco

* Miserable morning at Lake tahoe, 45 degrees with gusts to 38 mph

* Gust to 81 mph at 8 this morning in Monterey

* five inches of water over part of Highway 1

* 68 mph winds Santa Clara County

* Power out and trees down in part of Monterey County

* Gust to 75 mph yesterday afternoon in the San Francisco area

* 63 mph gust Golden Gate Bridge

* In Santa Clara County, there was 7.71 inches of rain at Morgan Hill in only 13 hours. Widespread flooding in the town

* Heavy snow in the Sierra Nevada Moiuntains
