Areal Flood Watch Extended in Area for Central Alabama

NWS Birmingham has extended the AREAL FLOOD WATCH further to the south to now include Clay, Pickens, Randolph, Shelby, Talladega, and Tuscaloosa counties. Those counties have been added with Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Etowah, Fayette, Jefferson, Lamar, Marion, St. Clair, Walker, and Winston, with the watch set to expire at 6 am Wednesday morning.

Heavy amounts of rain have already fallen over these areas and another 2 to 4 inches of rainfall can be expected throughout the night and overnight hours.
