Most of Central Alabama Dry at The Midday Report

| December 3, 2022 @ 12:52 pm

As of 12:40 pm, a line of light showers continue to push southward across Central Alabama and currently stretches from Opelika to Montgomery to Camden. Other than the line, nearly all of the rest of the area is rain-free.

Temperatures are ranging from the lower 60s in parts of the area, while Troy is at 79 degrees with some sunshine. Birmingham was at 64 degrees with cloud cover.

Rain chances will continue to dwindle across Central Alabama from north to south as the cold front and showers move deeper into the southern parts. Highs will range from the mid 60s to the upper 70s.

Only a few isolated showers remain possible over the southern parts of the area tonight, especially south of the I-85 corridor, while the rest of Central Alabama will be dry with mostly cloudy skies. Dense fog may become an issue in some locations as well. Lows in the lower 30s to the mid 50s.

Sunday continues to trend dry with partly cloudy skies. However, temperatures will be cooler than what we top out at today. Highs in the lower 50s to the upper 60.
