The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northeastern Calhoun County in east central Alabama…
North central Cleburne County in east central Alabama…
Southeastern Cherokee County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 115 PM CST.

* At 1229 PM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Ball Flat to near Piedmont to 6 miles east of
Fort McClellan, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Piedmont, Forney, Pleasant Gap, Knightens Crossroads, Borden
Springs and Spring Garden.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 PM CST for northeastern
and east central Alabama. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect
until 600 PM CST for east central Alabama.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
