Dangerous Storm with Potential Tornado Moving Toward Oxford MS
A possible tornado has just crossed I-55 south of Batesville MS.
The most dangerous part of the storm is just east of Courtland.
It will pass near Taylor MS and then near or just south of Oxford MS.
Reports are coming in from Rolling Fork in Sharkey County showing significant damage and injuries. This is a different storm from the Oxford storm. Chaser Brett Adair just reported the tornado crossed in front of him on US-49W near Silver City doing damage. He is moving into Silver City to assess damage.
A Tornado Emergency is in effect for MS 12 east of Belzoni, Horseshoe Lake, Morgan Brake National Wildlife Refuge and the area from Tchula up to Cruger.
