EXPIRED Tornado Warning — Parts of Colbert, Lauderdale Co. Until 11 pm

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama…
Northwestern Colbert County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 1100 PM CDT.

* At 1019 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located near Midway, or near Tishomingo State Park,
moving northeast at 60 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near…
Cherokee around 1035 PM CDT.
Florence around 1050 PM CDT.
St. Florian and Underwood-Petersville around 1055 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Malone, Posey Loop, Northwest Alabama Regional Airport, Mt Hester,
Allsboro, Maud, Wright, Barton, Oakland and Red Rock.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Tornadoes are extremely difficult to see and confirm at night. Do not
