The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Marion County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until midnight CDT.

* At 1115 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles southeast of Tremont to Detroit, moving east
at 60 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Hamilton, Haleyville, Guin, Hackleburg, Brilliant, Brinn, Weston,
Lake Buttahatchee, Bear Creek, Twin, Tessner, Pearces Mill, Rankin
Fite Airport, Upper Bear Creek Reservoir, Byrd, Bexar, Pigeye,
Marion County Public Lake, Piney Grove and Pikeville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for northwestern
and west central Alabama.

building.
