Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for Parts of Pike County until 545 pm

Hail threat is increasing in the Pike County storm. 1″ hail is possible.

Severe thunderstorm will be passing near or just south of Troy around 5:40 p.m. Hail and 60 mph winds are the biggest threat.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southwestern Pike County in southeastern Alabama…

* Until 545 PM CDT.

* At 452 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Glenwood, or
near Goshen, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Troy, Goshen, Troy University, Springhill, Mossy Grove and
Henderson.
