Severe Thunderstorm Watch Continues for Several Central Alabama Counties

The Weather Service in Birmingham has canceled the severe thunderstorm watch for Bibb, Calhoun, Cleburne, Shelby, and Talladega Counties.

It continues until 2 a.m. for Chambers, Chilton, Clay, Coosa, Greene, Hale, Randolph, Sumter, and Tallapoosa Counties.

Here is the radar showing the line of storms. The counties still included in the watch are highlighted in peach.

A late report from Shelby County’s 911 center reports trees down in various locations across the county.

We continue to monitor the severe weather threat.
