Shelby, Talladega, St. Clair County Storms Now Severe…Warning Issued

The storms southeast of Birmingham have intensified rapidly and now show signs of large hail and could produce damaging winds.

The two hail cores are north of Vincent and southwest of Talladega. That core will soon cross AL-21.

Lightning is approaching 55 flashes per minute.

Note from Pickens County: Tennis ball sized hail may be falling over northern Pickens County. The largest hail will be approaching AL-17 between Reform and Carrollton.
