Watch Out NE Jefferson and Northern St. Clair: Intensifying Storms

| June 16, 2023 @ 6:32 pm

Intensifying storms near Clay in Northeast Jefferson County are moving east southeast and will affect Argo, Margaret, Odenville, Branchville, and Wattsville.

The storms will impact I=59 between Springville and I-459.

The storm is organized. Hail is probably below severe limits, but with moderate instability, modest shear, and strong lapse rates, the storms should continue to intensify.

They eventually will move toward Riverside, Pell City, and Lincoln.

A new warning was just issued for Clay County for a rapidly intensifying cell near Ashland.
