Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for the Extreme Southeastern Parts of Central Alabama

NWS Birmingham has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 5 pm this evening for Barbour and Pike counties in the southeastern parts of Central Alabama.

• Scattered hail up to 2 inches in diameter possible
• Scattered gusts up to 70 mph likely
• Frequent lightning possible

The watch also stretches out of our area into South Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.
