MCS Moving Through South Central Alabama: Lowndes County Warning Issued

A mesoscale convection system is moving east southeast now through South Central Alabama.

The comma head is passing south of Selma, with the trailing storms curving back to near Grove Hill, Jackson, and Chatom.

A severe thunderstorm warning was just issued for Lowndes County Alabama. The comma head with its attendant threat for damaging winds and a small spin up tornado will move near Hayneville over the next 30 minutes.

It will cross souther Montgomery County and move toward Union Springs in Bullock County.

Be in a safer place in your home as this dangerous system approaches.
