Flash Flood Warning for St. Clair/Talladega

As much as 5 inches of rain has fallen in the warning area.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Southeastern St. Clair County in central Alabama…
North Central Talladega County in east central Alabama…

* Until 545 PM CDT.

* At 239 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4.5 inches of
rain have fallen, especially in the Riverside area. Flash flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Radar.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Pell City, Lincoln, Riverside, Ragland, Logan Martin Lake,
Harrisburg, Honda Manufacturing Of Alabama, St. Clair County
Airport and Cropwell.
