First Warnings Issued for North Alabama

| July 18, 2023 @ 4:50 pm

Severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued for northern Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, and Madison Counties.

Our complex of severe storms is moving pretty quickly to the southeast. It should run into a less favorable environment with time and is expected to weaken by the time it reaches the I-59 Corridor south of Gadsden.

Other storms over Arkansas may push into western Alabama around 8-9 p.m. We will be watching those.
