Heat Advisory Trimmed in Area Due to Rain Cooled Air

The NWS in Birmingham has cancelled the Heat Advisory for 12 counties in Central Alabama including: Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Sumter, Greene, Hale, Perry, Bibb, Chilton, Marengo, Dallas, Autauga, and Elmore.

It continues until 9 pm tonight for Lowndes, Montgomery, Macon, Bullock, Russell, Pike and Barbour Counties.

Mobile and Baldwin Counties and the counties of the Florida Panhandle are under an Excessive Heat Warning. The remainder of the counties in South Alabama under Mobile and Tallahassee’s jurisdiction are under a Heat Advisory.

Heat indices in the Advisory areas may exceed 105F. In the Warning area they may exceed 110F.
