A couple of interesting observations from our Skywatchers over Northeast Alabama…

From Vic Bell in Northeast Etowah County (in the hamlet of Scrougeout, just northeast of Gadsden): High: 29, Low: 13 with very light frost, Currently: 28/15, below freezing since 5pm Friday

And from Lane Kilgore, in the community of Muscadine, in Cleburne County not far from the Georgia border: Currently 25 after high of 26. Low was 15. Been below freezing here for 70 hours already.

You can clearly see some of the colder pockets across our state will be lucky to see more than 5 hours above freezing through Monday of next week. This will be a cold wave that will certainly dent the record books!
