Mercedes-AMG unveiled its EQS and EQE electric sedans in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

Now we have Mercedes-AMG’s first electric SUV, the 2024 EQE, which is built at the Mercedes-Benz U.S. International plant in Tuscaloosa County and begins deliveries this fall. It comes with all-wheel drive, seating for five and two electric motors providing 677 horsepower – more than most sports cars. Pricing starts at $109,300.

Its body style looks like most other midsize luxury SUVs: smoothed like an innocuous jellybean. But with high-end, state-of-the-art technologies under the hood and in the cabin, the EQE spells the dawn of the golden age of electric vehicles.
