A Beautiful Sunday Prelude to a Nice Week

| September 17, 2023 @ 12:52 pm

A beautiful Sunday is in progress across Alabama. Skies are mostly sunny to partly cloudy, with some stratocumulus clouds forming.

Temperatures are warming into the lower 80s in most spots across Central Alabama with upper 70s across the Tennessee Valley.

A secondary cold front is approaching the state from the northwest and will arrive tonight. Drier air is filtering into North Alabama now, but the main airmass will move in tonight.

The main trough driving the onset of the drier air will pass to our north tonight. There could be a few very light showers over Tennessee tonight, but I don’t think they will be able to get into Alabama.

The week will be dry and slightly cooler than normal, but still warm, with highs each day in the lower 80s. Lows will be in the upper 50s and 60s. North Alabama locations will drop into the middle 50s Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
