Snow Flurries

| January 8, 2010 @ 8:33 am | 58 Replies

We’ve got flurries this morning in the Birmingham area! There may be flurries in a lot of other spots that we can’t see with the radar, so don’t be surprised if you see some flakes for the next few hours. Some folks are reporting a light dusting, and that is certainly possible with light flurries like this.

The big issues today will be the icing on roads in East & Northeast Alabama and the wind chill. A wind chill advisory has been posted for the Tennessee Valley, and even though we don’t have one formally for the rest of the state, the wind chill will be dangerously low this morning in the -5 F to +10 F range.

Bundle up!
