This picture and note comes from Lois McLean, who writes…

“This was taken this morning at approximately 8:00 a.m. in Bessemer at the railroad track north of Carolina Avenue. He was stuck to the track under both front legs and his upper chest; also his back paws were stuck to the lower part of the track. My husband is an inspector for CSX and was inspecting the track when he found the puppy. He had to spray room temp water on him and then had to take his knife and run it between the track and the puppy to get him loose. Needless to say the pup was shivering.

My husband started his day on a different track and then thought that he should go over to this track instead. He got to the track and was able to run the inspection before the train got there. Within an hour he would have been run over by the train.

I have posted several pics on my Facebook and am asking everyone to repost to try to find him a home.
