Very Nice at Midday

| November 18, 2023 @ 12:04 pm

Wooo! It’s a nice one outside today across Central Alabama… Nice enough to ride with your windows down or spend some good quality time outdoors. We only have a few fair weather clouds out there over the southern portions of Central Alabama, and over a few parts of the Tennessee Valley. Temperatures are in the lower 60s to the lower 70s across the area, with Montgomery and Troy leading the way at 73º. The cool spot was Haleyville at 61º. Birmingham was sitting at 68º. These temperatures are pretty much the daytime highs, but a few cooler spots may continue to warm for another hour or so.

With the clear skies tonight, radiational cooling will take place, and we’ll see temperatures drop quickly after sunset. Temperatures will bottom out in the mid 30s to the mid 40s across the area, but some of the cooler locations may hit the lower 30s. Sunday continues the streak of fantastic days as skies will be sunny and highs topping out in the upper 60s to the lower 70s.

As far as the tropics, the disturbance that I talked about this morning has fallen apart and there are no disturbances out there to worry about. Nothing is expected to form within the next seven days.
