Driving trouble

Area radars still indicate light drizzle or snow flurries falling across much of northern and central Alabama, and that will continue through early evening. The cold air is coming in on NW winds. Current temperartures include BHM 36, Jasper 34, Haleyville 27, TCL 34, Millport 31, Cullman 28, Gadsden 37, Anniston 43. So, temperatures are already below freezing in north and NW Alabama, and will slowly fall below freezing in the Tuscaloosa and Birmingham areas over the next 2 or 3 hours, then in east Alabama tonight

With roads already wet from yesterday’s rain, and the light drizzle, expect some icy patches, especially on bridges and overpasses, as far south as BHM this evening. Please drive carefully if you have to go out, and leave plenty of distance between you and the car in front of you.
