Black Ice Possible Overnight

| January 30, 2010 @ 9:48 pm | 1 Reply

Did you know that icy road accidents kill more people each year than all other weather hazards combined, except for heat?

Black ice is one of the biggest contributors to that toll each year.

Black ice occurs when water freezes on roads in patchs of nearly invisible ice that can cause drivers to lose control of their cars.

Isolated patches of black ice will be possible tonight over all of Central Alabama. Remember that if you will be driving. Use extra caution, especially on bridges and overpasses through tomorrow morning.
