Severe T-Storm Warning for Parts of Marshall, Madison, Limestone, Morgan Counties Until 8 pm

The National Weather Service in Huntsville, Alabama, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Marshall County, Southwestern Madison County, Southeastern Limestone County, and Morgan County in north-central Alabama. This warning is in effect until 8:00 PM CDT.

At 7:13 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Marshall Space Flight Center, near Redstone Arsenal, moving east at 20 mph. This storm is capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts and nickel-sized hail. These conditions can cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Areas affected include Huntsville, Decatur, Madison, Hartselle, Arab, Redstone Arsenal, Priceville, Owens Cross Roads, Falkville, and Triana.

For your safety, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Heavy rainfall is also expected, which could lead to flash flooding. Avoid driving through flooded roadways. Stay safe!
