Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Parts of Marshall, Jackson, and DeKalb Counties

Strong storms are occurring from the Attalla/Gadsden area up through Boaz and then approaching Geraldine, Fyffe, and Rainsville. Others are near Valley Head.

The storms will be affecting areas from Collinsville over to cedar Bluff and Centre.

Be alert for wind gusts to 60 mph in the warning polygons, with 40 mph gusts possible in the blue special weather statement polygons. There could be some small hail, but not likely. Torrential rains and very dangerous lightning is occurring as well.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

Eastern Marshall County in northeastern Alabama…
Central Jackson County in northeastern Alabama…
DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 600 PM CDT.

* At 508 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles northeast of Grant to near Pisgah to near
Trenton, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Albertville, Scottsboro, Fort Payne, Boaz, Guntersville,
Rainsville, Henagar, Crossville, Sylvania, and Fyffe.
