Expired – Severe T-Storm Warning for Parts of Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne Co. Until 7:15 PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Eastern Calhoun County, Cleburne County, and Southeastern Cherokee County in northeastern Alabama, valid until 7:15 PM CDT. At 6:14 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were reported along a line stretching from near Forney to near Alexandria, moving southeast at 40 mph. Expect 60 mph wind gusts with this storm, which could cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Impacted areas include Anniston, Oxford, Jacksonville, Piedmont, Heflin, Fort McClellan, Saks, Weaver, Ranburne, Fruithurst, Edwardsville, Pleasant Gap, Blue Mountain, Alexandria, Jacksonville State University, Muscadine, Abernathy, Mars Hills, Coleman Lake and Campground, and Choccolocco.
