Winter storm warnings continue tonight for Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Jefferson, Randolph, Shelby, St. Clair and Talladega Counties until noon tomorrow. The warning is for heavy snow in excess of two inches. Winter weather advisories continue for the rest of Central Alabama.

The NWS Huntsville continues a winter storm warning for the Tennessee Valley counties of North Alabama.

…Winter weather advisory in effect for eastern Arkansas for up to an inch of snow through midnight. The winter weather advisory has been canceled for western Arkansas as the precipitation has already ended.

…The NWS Jackson calling for 0.5 to 1 inch of snow over Northwest Mississippi…and 1.0 to 1.5 inches over Northeast Mississippi.

..Snow started to mix with the rain at the National Weather Service in Memphis at 6:40 p.m.

Rain should reach Marion, Lamar and Pickens Counties around 9 p.m.

Temperatures will fall quickly after the rain starts. There will be a quick changeover to snow within a couple of hours of the rain beginning. About 11 p.m. in Northwest Alabama, and 2 a.m. in Birmingham.

Snow accumulations should be 1-2 inches across most of the northern half of the state, with 2-3 and isolated amounts to 4 inches from northeastern Jefferson and eastern Shelby Counties northeast through Blount, St. Clair and Talladega counties and up to Centre and over to Heflin.
