Tornado Watch Canceled

The Weather Service has canceled the tornado watch. The threat has diminished.

Showers and thunderstorms continue across parts of Alabama at this hour. Some of them are producing heavy rain, but there are no reports of flooding and flooding is not imminent at this time.

The wind advisory remains in effect until 1 am Friday for the Tennessee Valley and until midnight for much of Central Alabama.

The flash flood watch remains in effect until midnight Friday evening.
