Radar shows that some precipitation had spread as far eastward as West Mississippi with the leading eastern edge one-half way across Mississippi. However, none of the official surface reporting stations are reporting rain, which means it is not reaching the ground.

Radar also shows a line of heavy showers over West Louisiana. At 10:00 a.m., surface reports indicate that heavy rain at 48 degrees at Beaumont and heavy rain with 45 degrees at Deridder, Louisiana.

Switching the radar to winter mosaic, it shows scattered light wintry precipitation in East Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas. All the other shows it as rain.

Latest surface analysis shows that the low-pressure area that we have been advertising, it still forming and not very well organized yet. It was over the Gulf of Mexico south of Galveston and southward to the NE coast of Mexico. It will become more organized with time. The morning model runs shows the low being centered near Savannah late Tuesday, so it will move across the North Gulf of Mexico later today and tonight.

Still no significant change in local forecast. Scroll down for the latest.
