Still Cool Out There in Some Spots, Even in the Sunshine
While the sunshine is helping to warm you up some while you are standing out in its rays, it is still rather cool as we approach the midday hour. It is still in the mid to upper 40s in the Tennessee Valley, with Fort Payne as the warm spot at 49. For Central Alabama, we are looking at the 50s area wide, with Eufaula leading the way at 58. The only places we can find in the 60s right now are along the Gulf Coast, as Gulf Shores is at 61.
We’ll continue with sunny skies through the remainder of the daylight hours, with highs topping out in the mid 50s to the mid 60s. However, we go back into the refrigerator for tonight as skies will continue to be clear and radiational cooling will be in full effect. Lows will bottom out in the lower 30s to the mid 40s across the state.
You would think it was spring outdoors tomorrow as it will be much warmer. We’ll start to see a southerly flow across the state, which will allow for those warmer temperatures and increasing humidity levels. Skies will be mainly sunny throughout the day with afternoon highs reaching the lower 60s to the lower 70s. A magnificent day to spend outdoors before having to either head back to work for the short work week, or prepare for the big Thanksgiving and Black Friday holiday weekend.
The Atlantic Hurricane Season for this year is winding down and only has one week remaining, and we have some good news. All is quiet across the tropics and no new tropical disturbances are expected to form over the next seven days.
