Strong Thunderstorms Over TN Expected to Dissipate as They Reach Alabama

| December 18, 2024 @ 6:22 am

The Storm Prediction Center is monitoring a line of strong storms over Tennessee this morning, and has issued a mesoscale discussion for areas out ahead of the line. This discussion does clip extreme NW Alabama, but the probability that a watch gets issued is less than 20%.

Storms are expected to weaken considerably, and there is no risk of severe weather in Alabama today. A few showers will be possible though as the front moves through later today.
