CANCELED – Tornado Warning for Parts of Mobile County Until 7:45PM

A Tornado Warning issued by the National Weather Service in Mobile, Alabama. This warning is in effect for south-central Mobile County until 7:45 PM CST.

Tornado Details:

Location: A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado is located 4 miles southwest of Alabama Port, or 6 miles northwest of Dauphin Island, moving northeast at 20 mph.

Hazard: This is a radar-indicated tornado.

Potential Impacts: Flying debris can be deadly to those without shelter. Mobile homes may be destroyed. Significant damage to roofs, windows, vehicles, and trees is likely.

Timing: Alabama Port will be under the threat around 7:10 PM CST.

What You Need to Do Right Now:

Take Cover: Move to a basement or the lowest level of a sturdy building. If no basement is available, go to an interior room away from windows. Protect your head and neck with a helmet, blanket, or pillow.

Avoid Mobile Homes or Vehicles: Mobile homes and cars are not safe during tornadoes. Find a substantial shelter immediately.

Stay Alert: Keep your phone or NOAA weather radio close for updates. Do not wait until you see or hear the tornado—act now.
