EXPIRED – Severe T-Storm Warning for Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence Co. Until 10:45PM

The National Weather Service in Huntsville, Alabama has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Colbert County, Franklin County, and western Lawrence County in northwestern Alabama, effective until 10:45 PM CST. At 9:51 PM CST, a line of severe thunderstorms was located from near Belmont to 7 miles west of Weston to Guin, moving northeast at 50 mph. A Tornado Watch remains in effect, and tornadoes can form rapidly in a line of storms. Seek immediate shelter if a Tornado Warning is issued for your area.

These storms are capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts, which may cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations likely to be impacted include Muscle Shoals, Russellville, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Red Bay, Phil Campbell, Town Creek, Cherokee, Littleville, and Leighton.

For your safety, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Keep alert as the storm could lead to significant wind damage. Additionally, a Tornado Watch remains in effect for north-central and northwestern Alabama until 4:00 AM CST. Stay prepared and monitor updates closely.
