| January 29, 2025 @ 7:11 am

The NWS has issued a special weather statement for Colbert, Cullman, Franklin, Lauderdale, and Lawrence counties until 10am due to the potential for reduced visibility with patchy dense fog. Here are the details from their statement:

...Patchy Dense Fog Through Mid Morning...

Patchy Dense Fog has developed across portions of northwest and north
central Alabama. Visibility of 1/4 mile or less will occur in a few
areas through 10 AM.

Motorists are urged to drive with extreme caution, as visibilities
will vary significantly given the patchy nature of the fog. Use low
beams, reduce driving speed, and allow for plenty of room between
you and other cars.
