Traffic Update: Reports of Snow Covered Roads in North Alabama

| February 19, 2025 @ 6:57 am

Taking a look at the ALGO traffic map, you can see there are a few reports of accidents over north AL. We have also heard of some roads that are snow covered and/or impassible according to county emergency management agencies.

Temperatures are hovering near or slightly below freezing in many areas of northern AL especially in the NW portion of the state. In these areas, travel has the highest chance of being impacted with slick roads being a possibility due to below freezing temperatures.

So far, snowfall reports have ranged from 1/2 to 2″ across the northern parts of the state.
