Thursday Drought Update: Significant Improvements Continue
As of this mornings drought monitor update, improvements continue to be made thanks to the recent precipitation. Since last week, the area in moderate levels of drought has decreased from 17.74% down to 5.52%. In addition, the area in level 1 abnormally dry conditions has decreased from 57.11% down to 47.91%.
Additional rainfall, mainly net week, will continue to result in improving drought conditions across much of the state.
