Popcorn Showers

| March 13, 2010 @ 1:54 pm | 3 Replies

Cold air aloft is producing a thick field of stratocumulus clouds across Alabama this afternoon.

Everyone is getting a mix of clouds and some sun, heavily weighted toward the clouds. There are numerous light showers in progress under the bigger buildups. There are truly “popcorn” showers.

Temperatures are in the lower and middle 50s across the area. The average high this afternoon will be around 55. Skies will remain cloudy through much of Sunday with these popcorn showers around, mainly during the afternoons.
