Tornado Warning for Shelby [AL] till 7:30 PM CDT …* AT 658 PM CDT…THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DETECTED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO NEAR MAYLENE…MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH.

Wall cloud just passed near Montevallo. Heading toward I-65.

Possible tornado damage at Maylene.

50 mph winds reported by our Skywatcher at Alabaster. Several trees down on Lucas Lane in Alabaster.

It is so close to the radar that it is hard to see specific details.

Be in a small room on the lowest floor or your home or business. Be out of mobile homes. Leave cars for substantial buildings.

Folks in between I-65 and Columbiana and Wilsonville need to be in tornado precautions now.
