Where, Oh Where is the Sun?
Well, to be accurate, it is way, way, way far away up in the sky over our heads.
Excuse that smart aleck answer. (I am working on that problem)
For us, the old sun is having quite a dispute with stubborn clouds today. In the world of weather forecasting, one of the most difficult tasks is estimating when the sky will clear after a cold front moves through.
…..especially a fairly weak and slower moving front.
…..especially when an upper low pressure area is in the mix
…..especially when it is a cold-core upper low.
…..especially when the winds aloft do not cooperate
…..especially when we run out of coffee
But, take heart, the ole sun ball has won the fight over West Tennessee and a good part of Mississippi. Even in parts of North and Central Alabama the sun is breaking through. It is a struggle but we should see a decent amount of sunshine the rest of today. And, a decent amount Saturday when we aim for the 70-degree mark.
Don’t get too contented. More showers and thunderstorms after midnight Saturday night and on Sunday.
While I am at itm here are just a few rain amounts from storms yesterday and last night:
1.11 Huntsville Airport
0.94 Cullman Airport near Vinemont
