Severe Thunderstorm Warning for South Central Lee, East Central Macon, and Central Russell Counties until 3:00 PM CDT

At 2:17 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Society Hill, or about 11 miles north of Hurtsboro, moving east at 40 miles per hour. This storm is capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour and penny size hail. Radar has indicated the storm’s strength.

Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Areas in the path of this storm include the Russell County Sports Complex, Uchee, Seale, Society Hill, Hatchechubbee, Uchee Creek, Fort Mitchell, Marvyn, Fort Mitchell Activity Center, Phenix Drag Strip, and Parkmanville.

For your safety, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
