Story of the night was a long line of thunderstorms that moved through dumping heavy rain and flushing a lot of pollen.

There was also some wind damage in Etowah County early today with a number of trees down. I-59 was closed in both directions, However U.S 11 remained open. (Scroll down for more about that)

At 7:15 am, that line of storms was positioned from the NE corner of Alabama southwestward across Talladega, Shelby and Chilton County all the way southward to west of Mobile.

Actually, some of the strongest storms now over Extreme NW Georgia.
