Late Morning in A Wet Alabama

By 11:00 this morning, most of the rain and storms in Alabama had shifted over to about the eastern 1/3 of the state. You could draw a line from Gadsden, to Birmingham, Selma and Montgomery and most of the rain was east of that line.

Some of the heaviest rain was over Cleburne, Randolph and Clay Counties southward to Autauga, Tallapoosa and Montgomery Counties. The rain was moving toward the ENE. Lightning has decreased considerably. The most still in progress at 11:00 a.m. was over South/Central Alabama.

LIGHTNING DAMAGE
The Etowah County EMA reported at 8:51 this morning 4 miles WSW of the Aurora community lightning caused a house fire.
