Rogue Thundershower in Hale County

| May 23, 2010 @ 4:17 pm | 3 Replies

A thundershower has managed to develop with the help of today’s strong heating over West Central Alabama’s Hale County. It is near Wedgeworth a nd Sawyerville and is is drifting northwest toward the Black Warrior River and Greene County.

It has a top to a little over 32,00 feet, so it is producing lightning and could even have a little small hail.

Elsewhere, no showers across Central Alabama.

There is a severe thunderstorm warning for South Alabama’s Conecuh and Escambia Counties for a storm between Evergreen and Castleberry.

There could be an isolated shower through the afternoon and into the evening hours, but any relief from today’s heat will be extremely isolated.
