Miss Molly Attack Update
I believe it was around sunrise on March 31 that Little Miss Molly was viciously attacked by a much larger dog on our community walking track directly behind our house. It took an all out fight, me against the attack dog, to free Molly. I got some bite marks on my hand but we came close to losing Molly.
I still receive several emails a week asking for her progress report. I answer all of those individually but since the weather is quiet this morning, thought i would post information here. Will keep this short because I know this is a weather blog instead of a puppy blog!
Molly snapped back quickly and had fully recovered in a couple of weeks. These days, she is overloaded with energy. Each time we meet someone on the track, Molly can’t wait. Her tail starts swishing rapidly awaiting a pat on the head or even a belly rub. She knows every address where someone lives that loves her and she will pause hoping they will come out.
Main thing that is still different, she looks over her shoulder quite often when out walking, If she hears a dog bark, especially one with a deep base voice, she stops immediately, raises her right paw, looks all around and comes back and sits on my feet. She knows she can count on me for protection.
I deeply appreciate all the good wishes and love for Molly. She is truly a good-will ambassador!
Well, this story is longer than I intended, so I am outta here!
